Graduation!

Finally found out my university results last Friday. I was so sure I was doomed, and was extremely anxious and bracing myself to fail. Turns out I had nothing to worry about as I ended up with 2 Distinctions and 2 credits!

So RELIEVED AND HAPPY!!!

Now what on earth do I wear to graduation? (Only two weeks to decide!!)

My new favourite past time

Guess who's a bit late in joining the Wii bandwagon? Too bad I'm totally unfit and I ended up aching all over after playing Wii Sports for 2 hours! lol, I also got WiiFit with my bundle and it's great exercise, however, my weight keeps going up and down (Ok.. mainly up) everyday which is quite depressing!

Haven't had anything to write home about in the last week. Just been working and semi-vegging out, catching up on reading books and magazines.

Uni results come out tomorrow at 3pm. I'm waiting in nervous anticipation! I wish they would just come out early in the morning instead of all this anxious waiting. *Sigh

Now that exams are over...

I thought I'd be excited but it feels more odd than anything! No more uni forever ( granted I pass everything), what do I do with myself now?!

Retail Therapy

A few of my recent purchases over the last few weeks... (yes! I'm procrastinating again over exams)

Cheap thrills from the Diva sale- this bangle was $5

Semi impulse purchase- Gwen Stefani Harajuku Lovers perfume pack

Only because I'm in love with these bottles! Aren't they adorable?

There's Love...

Angel... my fave scent out of the six

G

Music

Baby... this one smells like baby shampoo like a lot of people have said

Urge sandals- a great pair of cheap sandals that I've gotten alot of wear out of so far!

Ok, enough procrastinating! I'm off to study some more. seriously. really....

I finish my exams on Wednesday, so after that, It will be nervous anticipation and twiddling my thumbs waiting for my hopefully (has to be) positive results.

Sydney Food and Wine Fair 2008

It was a cloudy day and the sky looked like it was going to burst out in rain any second, but I couldn't pass up the annual Sydney Food and Wine Fair

I'd bypassed all the other Good Food Month's events, but I wasn't missing this one!

Being a greedy guts... I didn't want to miss out, so I let my stomach rule over my mind- purchasing first and thinking about it later (hence the dessert items first)

Bill's Lime and passionfruit tart with cream- tangy, creamy and delicious

The selection from the Tea Room which included an egg sandwich, pastry, lemon meringue tart, and some cakes, this was OK, but doesn't compare to their High Tea, I would give it a miss next time to save room for other things!

Ocean Trout from the Cafe Sydney stand- this was my favourite! It was seriously good- melt in the mouth ocean trout, crispy skin on a bed of Waldorf salad

Wrestling through the crowds of food lovers, it got busier and busier as we went on!

Bavarian Bier Cafe's offering- yum!

The Vogue stand's offering- grilled and smoked salmon- this was good as well, but after Cafe Sydney's one... it couldn't compare!

Bye bye Food and Wine Fair, until next year!

Sculptures by the Sea

Was a lovely day to be in Bondi doing the coastal trek and checking out the many quirky sculptures.

Train tracks with a twist

This cute whale was definitely one of my faves! It was a tough one trying to take a pic of him as he had a crowd of adoring little ones clambering all over him

Wrapped up 'red thing' - Can you spot the bubble in the background?

More to come later... I should actually be getting my study on at the moment... *sigh*

Zowa Cafe, World Square (Closed down)

I walked past this cute little Korean restaurant last week after having a huge meal, and had one of those dissapointed 'should have eaten here!' moments. Zowa Cafe is tucked away in World Square, and I was immediately sucked into looking at their kitsch plastic displays.

The omurice displays outside the restaurant

Their speciality dish is the omurice with various toppings, which is fried rice wrapped in a omelette ( I had a hard time working this out just by looking at the displays, it took me half a day to guess! )

Pineapple Frappe - $4.80

Complimentary soup with the set meal - this was pretty good! Tomato-ey vegetable soup with bread.

Baked seafood and sausage rice with 1/2 tomato and 1/2 cream, the cream sauce was really good,
but I wasn't a fan of the tomato sauce. There was something about it I couldn't quite put my finger on.

Pork cutlet omurice with chilli sauce

Dessert- Macadamia and Baileys sundae, I didn't find any macadamias in this at all! There was Baileys, fruit, icecream, cornflakes, wafers, cream, sprinkles, sultanas, but no macadamias! Not sure if this was worth the $8.80...

Overall the food was good, they have a big menu, so I want to go back and try some other things! They even have a set menu after 4:30pm where you can get soup, salad, omurice, a spaghetti dish and icecream for $16.80! Bargain, or what?
