Manta Restaurant, Woolloomooloo

What better way to end a tiring trek through the zoo than with a lovely dinner by the harbour.

Manta Restaurant at Cowper Wharf, Woolloomooloo (I always have trouble spelling that one!) We got there super early, and there was plenty of 6 hour street parking on Lincoln Crescent

As you can tell by the pictures, it wasn't the main priority of the night, and as the night progressed (and perhaps being tipsy as more cocktails were consumed) we forgot about taking pictures of the mains.

It was so dark, I could barely make out the menu, especially the dark brown page with the meat options!

Summer Breeze cocktail- Watermelon, blueberries and raspberries with cranberry juice, vodka & Chambord over ice
Very refreshing and easy downed, the alcohol was very well masked, which is great since I don't like my cocktails overdone with the alcohol

Grilled scallops entree

Ocean trout tartare, horseradish crème fraîche, cucumber, eschallot, lemon oil

*insert mains* which weren't that photogenic. we had the crumbed baby snapper fillets and the 300g sirloin steak, with a side of the hand cut chips with murray river salt

Frangelico and hazelnut semi freddo with Corella pear and lime salsa

Vanilla Creme Brulee
