Bather's Pavilion - Balmoral, Sydney

I'm not sure how to write this post without gushing about how fantastic it was, but I'll try. Bather's Pavilion is situation right on the esplanade at Balmoral Beach, easily my favourite spot in Sydney.

It's the most gorgeously sunny day on a Sunday, and it's families galore and beach goers soaking up the sunshine. Everything tastes better with a view like this, and I'm kicking myself for not bringing beach gear to go for a dip.

We manage to grab a table on the cafe side instantly even though it's quite busy.

I love the casual feel of the restaurant, and the fact that you can just wander past when you fancy, and get a table due to their no bookings policy.

My refreshing fruity mocktail - looks good doesn't it? Everything on the drinks menu looked so good, I could barely decide!

Peppered beef fillet mignons with French style peas and potato gratin

Chicken involtini with white bean purée, baby zucchini with tomato sugo

Crème caramel, poached caramel pears, cinnamon filo crisp

Pineapple tart tartin, pineapple compote, coconut ice-cream

As you can see, the food is beautifully presented, and was a delicious. The only thing was the long wait for food, but seriously, it doesn't feel like much of a wait when you have such a great view!

I'm Angus - Darling Harbour, Sydney

"Hi Angus!" is always the response when someone suggests we eat at I'm Angus. Lame jokes aside, we ourselves at Darling Park after navigating the scarily small and maze like carpark (not before scraping and taking some paint off the car)

I'm Angus is open most of the day, since it's located in the tourist area of Darling Harbour, hence you can stroll past anytime and grab a meal. Great when you eat at random times during the day, like me on the weekends!

My dining companion's Scotch Fillet with mushroom sauce on the side ($5.50 for the sauce!!!! Not being a scrooge, but I think that's a tad excessive for sauce that doesn't have any spectacular ingredient)

Giant King Prawns butterflied with garlic butter, seasalt, + crushed new potatoes and garlic aioli

Loved the cripsy potatoes, especially with the yummy aioli!

Dessert time

Bailey's Creme Brulee with chocolate biscotti - this had a good layer of toffee crunch, and loaded with Bailey's liquer, yum!

Vanilla panna cotta with fresh mango and summer berries - I enjoyed this, delicious berries paired with vanilla bean icecream & panna cotta, can't really go wrong!

Legends Spanish Restaurant - Manuka, Canberra

I love tapas. It's a great invention for the indecisive who want to try everything on the menu.

It's a sunny Sunday afternoon, and we make our way to Legends Spanish Restaurant in Manuka. I instantly eye off the BBQ ribs night (Wednesday) and Fiesta night on a Thursday, both sound fantastic. But alas, here on the wrong day, we order off the normal tapas menu.

I'm keen to try the paella, but with only 2 people, I wasn't sure if it would be too much, plus there's a minimum 30 minute wait so we pass this time.

A few drinks to cool down with:

Ternera - Eye fillet medallions on truffle oil mash w/manchego wafer - this was really yummy, tender pieces of beef and mash, can't go wrong!

Croquettas de Pollo Chicken - Béchamel crumbed and deep-fried served with alioli sauce

Calamares Fritos- Deep fried squid

They had quite a long dessert menu too with some great sounding desserts!

Brazo De Gitano - A coffee and walnut roulade filled with caramelised walnuts, chocolate ganache and coffee cream served with walnut toffee ice cream and café con leche jelly

The food was good, but the only thing lacking was the service. It was a Sunday afternoon, and not that busy, but the waitresses on the floor would just walk past even when we'd finished everything, and didn't clear the plates. We had to wave them down to get the dessert menu, and even then they didn't clear anything. Just a small thing, but still annoying.

Other than that, everything was great, and I would probably go back again to try the other things on the menu. We actually saw another table having the paella and it looked quite good, so perhaps paella next time?

Love at first sight - Sretsis 'Make my heart melt' S/S 10 Collection

It feels like I haven't posted anything fashion related for ETERNITY. Probably not that long, but you get the picture. I think it's because I haven't really bought anything for a while. My bank balance is definitely thanking me for it, but maybe not for long...

How gorgeous is the Sretsis collection? I love the beautiful floral details, and pretty pastel colours. Sigh. I'm having a hard time deciding culling my list of 'must haves'.

I want it all. Will do a little shopping expedition tomorrow.

Pre-theatre dinner @ Miso - World Square, Sydney

First of all, let me start by saying that Wicked was absolutely amazing! I can't rave enough about it - if you haven't seen it yet, do yourself a favour and get tickets before it ends!

Dinner was just a necessity, so choosing somewhere fast and easy was number one priority. Walking down from Town Hall, Miso sprang to mind.

It was quite full so early on a Wedneday night, but there was no need to line up, thank goodness!

I love the fact that so many places have picture menus now!

First up are saome thirst quenchers!:

Kiwi frappe - yummy with real kiwi chunks on top

Lychee frappe

Chicken teriyaki & rice

The food is quite healthy and massive servings too!

Sashimi-don - with generous servings of roe and seaweed salad, there was so much rice, I couldn't finish it.

Massive slices of fresh salmon - so good!
