Singapore Zoo

Even though it rained in the morning, the zoo was still great.  We didn't get to catch all the shows as some of them were cancelled due to the rain, but it stopped half way through the morning and the sun came out which was good as it meant we were able to get off the zoo tram and walk around a bit.

These 2 Rhinos were ready to charge at each other until the baby Rhino purposely stood in the way, not sure what was going on!

I really liked the 'natural' barriers that they had in place, which meant that you could barely see the wire fencing with some of the enclosures, great for photo taking

Zebra - There's the age old question whether zebras are black with white stripes or white with black stripes. They look like they are white with black stripes in my opinion, but Google seems to come up with a plethora of answers

Most of the big cats were hiding under cover - I think because of the rain

The Lion Exhibit

With the sole male looking a little wet from the rain

Unfortunately his magnificent mane was looking a little flat...

Giraffes feasting on tree branches

Another one hiding from the rain

Such a beautiful coat, it looks fake!

Exploring

Showing off some razor sharp teeth

The elephants having some breakfast

They kept tossing the branches with their trunk and hitting it on the ground several times before eating, anyone know why they do this?

And into the monkeys section:

Most of the monkeys look hilariously like little old men with serious faces

Awesome long tail for swinging around

This is what I mean about the hilarious face that only a mother could love!

A large group - they have the most gorgeous colouring - with red legs, grey body and a long white tail

Check out the cute baby!

Mr White Tiger

Very busy pacing back and forth

Warthogs dozing

Baboons

The smallest little baby in the pack

Feasting

We did manage to catch one show...

Action shot of coconut being smashed open
