Cara & Co initially caught my eye because of the boutique attached at the front, selling quirky and unique (albeit expensive!) clothes, accessories and other knick knacks. Tucked away at the back, almost hidden, of the shop is actually a restaurant.
When Miss L messaged about a voucher deal that she bought, I jumped at the chance to try it out with a couple of the other girls, as it's been on my list for a while.
Freshly baked bread - always welcome to stave off hunger when you've just arrived straight from work!
Chicken liver parfait with pumpkin seed
These were very moreish and a nice way to start off the meal.
The deal was fantastic value, including a glass of wine as well.
Seaweed cracker with kaffir lime leaf - such cool presentation!
True to it's fashion boutique roots, they had fashion shows playing all night.
Scallop with goats cheese, cucumber, apple, avocado and Buddha's hand
A delicate dish with really subtle and lovely flavours. I really liked the presentation of this dish, with the scallop and goats cheese being turned into a pretty shell.

Rock flathead with cauliflower, peanut and gherkin
The flavours of the dish sound quite unusual, peanuts and gherkin?! It doesn't taste as weird as it sounds, though it is nothing amazing.

Wagyu rump with wagyu bacon, eggplant, miso, carrot, anchovy
This dessert was a mixture of basil cream, rhubarb jelly and limoncello sorbet (from what I managed to capture from the waitress!) it was very fruity and light.
These madeleines were delicious, a great note to end the meal on :)
I think I have mixed feelings about my visit here - whilst the voucher was a fabulous deal, there was nothing that stood out for me.

Such a shame when it doesnt live up to expectations :( The food does look very pretty though.
