Tenkomori is located in Regent Place, where Ton Ton used to be located. Since I love Mappen so much, I was pretty keen to give this place a try.
It's the same concept as Mappen where you line up, place your order, grab all the side dishes that your heart desires, and then pay. With Tenkomori, the ramen dish is served to you at the end, just before the cash register. It's a quick, easy and cheap meal.
Plenty of tempting side dish choices to choose from!
As well as ramen, they also have a couple of rice bowl options too
Watermelon juice and sweet ginger tea
Went a little crazy with the side dishes...
Tempura asparagus and chicken karaage.
I always get japanese potato salad whenever I see it as a side dish - Tenkomori's version is creamy and almost smooth in texture.
Shoyu ramen
Abalone salad
More deep fried goodies - prawn and pork
Tonkotsu ramen
The ramen itself is nothing to write home about, and the consensus was that shoyu broth is better than the tonkotsu version.
For the cheap price tag, it's a pretty good place to pick up a quick and convenient meal and the side dish choices are plentiful.

Oh, I didn't realise that this had opened up in the place of Ton Ton - doesn't look to bad and has to be cheaper than Ippudo, right?
Missy Piggy - Definitely cheaper! We got all of the items - the two bowls of ramen, side dishes and drinks for a little over $30!
All that food looks delicious! Youre making me hungry and I had lunch not that long ago!! :)

i quite enjoyed this place. I went during opening week (post to come.. laggggggggg) and i thought it was a great little place to get a cheap and quick ramen fix! it's definitely no ippudo or gumshara but i definitely wouldn't hesitate to return.
Wow, prices sure look attractive - might give those rice bowls a go :)
Tina@bitemeshowme - Agree! It's not a bad place for a decent meal.

I'm always up for trying a cheap meal - I'll try one of the rice bowls next time I'm nearby and hungry!
