Kusina - Weston Creek, Canberra

Kusina is the latest addition to Weston Creek, and having not visited a Filipino restaurant before, I was really keen to try it.

It's a casual family style restaurant with the dishes intended to be shared.

Inihaw na Baboy - chicken skewers with garlic, chilli and palm vinegar

These were smoky and delicious pieces of tender thigh pieces in a sweet and sticky marinade.

Lumpiang Sariwa - fresh spring roll, crepe wrapper with stir fried vegetables

This was a simple dish, but probably my favourite. A simple toss of stir fried veg wrapped with the thin pancake was quite tasty.

Crispy pork belly - couldn't go past the perfectly cooked crackling. Sinfully good.

Garlic fried rice. As good as it sounds (not the kind of food to have on a date though :P )

Fours Seasons juice and coconut juice

Tempting sweet selection

A nice, casual addition to the Canberra restaurant list, serving some pretty good food.

Really wanted a piece of taro cake they had in the display, but could not find the room to fit it in - definitely next time though!
