With chain froyo places popping left, right and centre in Sydney, Mooberry, as an independently run store is a refreshing addition to the frozen yoghurt scene.
On this visit with Miss L, the moment we stepped in, we were greeted by the friendly and upbeat staff, who were more than happy to showcase the array of menu choices with infectious enthusiasm!
The smoothies sounded amazing, though unfortunately we had just scoffed a giant lunch, so sadly, I didn't try them. I tend to have issues finishing drinks of any kind, so next time will drag the boyfriend (food disposal unit) along.
There is a wide variety of toppings, including fresh pomegranate, blueberries and kiwi fruit. Yum!
Endless topping choices. I usually veer towards the fruity options, but love that they have a large variety of choices, perfect for mixing it up.
We start off by sampling some of the flavours, including pomegranate and salted caramel. Loved the fresh flavour of the pomegranate - tastes true to the fruit, without any artificial taste that you tend to get with some fruit based flavours at some other places.
This is the highlight of the day. I'm a sucker for affogato and this is an awesome version with a swirl of the coconut froyo, paired with a healthy dose of espresso and a sprinkle of shredded coconut. This is their signature item - worth trying!
Churros with chocolate dipping sauce
I like that there are other items on the menu, as it's nice to have different options for those who aren't as keen on froyo, or just want something more substantial. These churros are baked, and whilst the churros are nothing amazing on their own, they are the perfect size to dip in the heavenly chocolate sauce.
Definitely worth a visit for the coconut affogato and to satisfy any frozen yoghurt cravings (with super friendly staff a major plus!)
missklicious dined as a guest of Mooberry, thanks to John X.
