Baroque - Circular Quay, Sydney

As the Christmas season approaches, and the crazy gift hunting ensues, it's nice to have somewhere to escape and relax from the mayhem.

Baroque is said to have some of the best macarons in Sydney. Having found myself in the Rocks area, it was the perfect opportunity to get some dessert and coffee from this Parisian paradise.

As you step into Baroque, you can't help but marvel at the intricate cakes displayed in the patisserie.

Salted caramel, jasmine, rose, lime & coconut macarons

Lattes

A great spot to enjoy coffees in the sun

Le Roi Soleil

Mango and mandarine mousse, coconut cremeux, almond nougatine, almond sponge

Zulu

Valrhona 'Araguani' chocolate mousse, salted caramel and dark chocolate ganache

A great little spot for some delicious french cakes and pastries if you're around The Rocks area.

Am a huge fan of the macs at Baroque - and their dessert cabinet is always an agonising decision!

I adored their petit gateaux, which I tried at La Renaissance. Sadly I didn't get to sample any macarons, what did you think of them?
