There's so many new shops in Canberra that I end up in catchup mode during my rare visits. One new shop that has graced Canberra is popular Malaysian chainstore, PappaRich. Usually with substantial queues in Sydney, the Canberra store does not seem to be any different!
Lucky we are after a super early dinner so we can head off early to drive back to Sydney.
PappaRich Canberra is conveniently located in the North Quarter in the Canberra Centre.
The menu is full of interesting drinks, and we order a couple of different ones to try.
Ice blended bandung with grass jelly
This creamy pink concoction is sweet, with the rose syrup adding a floral touch.
Soya milk & black sesame ice cream
This is my order, and with the generous scoop of black sesame ice-cream, seems like more of a dessert than a drink.
Red bean drink
Nasi lemak with curry chicken
I love nasi lemak as it gives you a bit of everything - fragrant curry chicken, spicy sambal, coconut rice, fried anchovies and peanuts, hard boiled egg and slices of cucumber.
Pappa wat dan hor (combination noodles)
Wok-fried combination noodles with egg gravy, prawns, chicken slices, fried shallots and fish cake.
Egg noodles with steamed chicken served with rice curry gravy
A great new addition to the Canberra dining options Funnily enough this was the first time I've dined at PappaRich, despite there being a couple of stores in Sydney.
