The Sultan's Table - Enmore, Sydney

The always popular The Sultan's Table is a fabulous choice to grab a quick bite to eat before any show at the Enmore Theatre or surrounds. On this particular night, it's dinner before a comedy show at the Factory Theatre.

Touted as the best turkish in Sydney, it's casual and chaotic. We grab one of the few seats left out the front, there's also plenty of seating inside and a takeaway area.

mixed meze dips

These addictive dips comprise of hummus, baba ganush, chilli carrot, beetroot, spinach jajik, green bean, eggplant, parsley. This was the medium size which was quite a generous portion. The turkish bread is ordered separately.

Zucchini fritters

Zucchini, carrot, parsley, onion, cheese, herbs & spices. These were tasty but a tad on the oily side.

One of my favourite dishes to order when eating turkish food. The Sultan's Table version is crisp and served with pita bread, hummus, tabouli and salad.

Stuffed capsicum

The red capsicum was stuffed with rice, herbs and spices and steam cooked.

Cheap and cheerful dining with big portions - we could barely finish the dishes between two and left completely stuffed to the brim. Would definitely recommend getting in early because it's always busy!

I went there a few years back, it was unforgettable. I found Jasmin 1 @ bankstown to be pretty good too!

lily - i'd rate sultan's table as one of the best, in the inner city anyway, I'm sure there are heaps of good ones out west!
